Under the supervision of the Community-Based Clinical Supervisor, the Community-Based Clinician is directly responsible for the delivery of community-based mental health services under the specialty mental health EPSDT and MHSA programs to high needs clients, in accordance with guidelines established by Maryvale and the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health, (LACDMH).

Consistently meet service needs of the specialty mental health clients by providing any and all necessary services; and document accordingly so that service percentage expectation established by the agency are met or exceeded monthly.
Provide individual, family, and group therapy to clients and families in the office, field, school, or other community location to those in enrolled in the community-based program.
Complete comprehensive assessments and treatment plans in accordance with LACDMH and Maryvale's guidelines and timelines.
Provide evidenced-based treatment to clients.
Certified in the CANS.
Complete the CANS as required and within expected timelines.
Responsible for maintaining and submitting according to established timelines all relevant clinical documentation per the expectations of Maryvale and LACDMH.
Consult and collaborate with various external professionals working on behalf of the client and family such as schools, DCFS, Probation, or the Regional Center.
Coordinate psychiatric services as necessary.
If psychiatric services are required, meet with psychiatrist to discuss diagnosis and goals.
On-call 24/7 for clients and families.
Attend internal and external meetings/trainings as scheduled.
Follow Universal Precautions when exposed to blood and body fluids.
Follow Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) regulations pertaining to safety and the use of equipment/machinery.
Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree from an accredited Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology Program.
Must be licensed or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
Bilingual Spanish, required.
Trained and or certified in MAP, TF-CBT, CANS, preferred.
Experience providing high quality mental health services of various levels, preferably in the areas of infant, child, adolescent, and or transitional aged youth/adults mental health and family therapy.
Demonstrated experience and ability to relate to a culturally diverse clientele and professional colleagues.
Experience in and commitment to a community mental health model.
Experience with L.

County Department of Mental Health specialty mental health documentation standards preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Familiar with Windows operations systems; Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Pre-employment physical exam and criminal and OIG background clearance required.
Possession of a valid California driver's license, car insurance and ability to drive.
