Position Summary and Key
Responsibilities:
The Department of Molecular & Cellular Biology at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is seeking a research associate to perform various standard molecular biological techniques, such as RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, Western blot, and other related techniques. The applicant is required to perform experiments, collect and analyze data independently, and have good organizational skills. The applicant must be proficient in MS Office applications. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of a Staff Scientist.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Bachelors degree plus two years of experience or Masters degree plus one year of experience.
The applicant must be familiar with various molecular biological techniques, such as RNA isolation, qRT-PCR, Western blot, cell culture, and other related techniques.
Experience with mammalian cell culture is preferred.
Experience in animal handling, tissue isolation, operation of a cryostat and histological analysis, is preferred.
The applicant must be proficient in MS Office applications.
