Plant Office Administrator

Summary Description of Position
The primary duties involve: weighing trucks on scale; entering appropriate data into computer (price, product, weight, customer name, etc.); generating bill of sale; collecting cash/checks; interfacing with company personnel and with outside haulers; and dispatch/delivery coordination.
Additional duties may involve: working in the Plant Management Systems to complete daily tasks including accounting distributions, daily production logs, drilling and blasting entries, and inventory maintenance; completing daily entry of payroll time in the Kronos system; responsibility for procurement, job orders, sales, credit orders, and purchasing; data entry into the Equipment Management Systems (EMS); and other clerical and administrative support duties as assigned.
The position may be required to provide coverage to other area plants as needed. Will also fill in for dispatch as needed. Evening and/or weekend overtime work may be required depending on business need. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical or college degree preferable.

Ability to effectively understand and interface with people from different cultures and backgrounds
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbally and written)
Must have good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds periodically and to sit for long periods of time.
Use of telephone, computers, cell phones and other electronic devices is essential.
Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to maintain confidential information
Mental Requirements
Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain records, and reports
Ability to work in a very stressful, deadline oriented, dynamic environment
Must to be able to multi-task and relate to customers and employees effectively.
Must be highly motivated and able to operate with minimal supervision

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
