through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment
center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.
Position Overview
This position will be in the Customer Contact Center (CCC) group within Southern California Edison's (SCE) Customer
Service Organizational Unit (CS). The Inspector-Quality Control (IQC2) will
report to the Supervisor of Inspections, and will be responsible for supporting
CCC Specialty Operations Program Services by inspecting projects for the Energy
Efficiency Demand Side Management portfolio throughout the entire SCE service
Typical Responsibilities:
+ Maintainpositive internal and external relationships by providing the highest level ofcustomer service.
+ Conductfield inspections by driving to locations throughout the SCE territory.
+ ConductHVAC inspections to evaluate efficient operation. Residential to commercial andindustrial applications including split systems, package units as well aschillers.
+ Conductperformance testing procedures of the HVAC equipment and ensure coils are cleanand proper operation of the economizers, variable frequency drives, motors, andsystems controls.
+ Confirmequipment installations and model numbers; ensure compliance with programspecifications based on pre-established program guidelines, and reportfindings.
+ Scheduleappointments with external and internal clients to inspect equipment andprepare optimal routes.
+ Performprogram specific procedures utilizing test instruments such as a ductpshychrometer differential manometer, clamp meter, tablet, discriminator,voltage testers, cameras, and light meters to check and record equipmentinformation.
+ Drivingfor extended periods of time throughout the SCE territory and work in variousweather conditions.
+ Performphysical duties such as extended walking, climbing ladders, and rooftopinspections.
+ Interactwith Inspectors, internal and external resources such as customers, vendors,contractors, Program Managers, Supervisors, and program leads to achieveobjectives and goals and recommend/implement solutions.
+ Interact and collaborate with internal and externalresources to troubleshoot and recommend areas ofimprovement to Supervisor.
+ Participatein technical and program development training as needed.
+ Maintaininga safety first conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocolsand safe work practices as well as adhering to specific program policy andprocedures; and performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Three(3) or more years of experience performing HVAC maintenance, service andinstallation in commercial and industrial applications.
+ Certificationfrom a nationally recognized HVAC training organization (i.e. NATE, NCI, HVACExcellence, etc.).
+ EPA608 card.
+ Validdriver?s license.
Desired Qualifications
+ Experiencein HVAC performance testing and installation techniques.
+ Experienceperforming inspections of Energy Efficiency equipment.
+ Experience with Energy Efficiency andDemand Response Programs.
+ Experiencecompleting multiple projects/assignments, working well under pressure, andadjusting to changing priorities.
+ Knowledge of energy efficient lighting, refrigeration,food service, HVAC, and premium efficiency motor equipment.
+ Abilityto interface effectively and collaborate with customers, vendors, Supervisorand peers to resolve issues.
+ Abilityto work independently, take initiative and deliver results utilizing strongproblem solving skills.
+ Ability to make sound decisions that have considerablebusiness impact.
+ Effectivescheduling and planning skills.
+ Strongethics and ensure the integrity of inspection findings.
+ Experienceutilizing computer systems including company e-mail, CSS, and CRM as well asExcel and photo software.
+ Excellentoral and written communication skills and be able to communicateeffectively in a concise and organized manner.
+ Abilityto integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services toenhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately,develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptionalservice to internal and external customers.
+ Effective resource and project planning, decision making, resultsdelivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevanttechnology and innovation.
+ Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership,interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively managestress and engage in continuous learning.
+ Able to drive for extended periods of time.
+ Able to perform specific physical requirements of extendedwalking, climbing ladders, working on roof tops in various climates as well ascarrying at least 50 lbs.
+ Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
+ Candidatesfor this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees forany employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
+ Theprimary work location for this position is Irwindale, CA; however, this positionwill require up to 80% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCEservice territory.
+ Relocationdoes not apply to this position.
+ Thisis a full-time, project regular position for an estimated duration of 12months. This position is eligible for company benefits and incentives duringthe duration of the assignment.
