Position Summary:


The 1D Clinic is comprised of 6 chemotherapy infusion rooms and 8 infusion chairs, and includes a patient/family waiting and learning center operational 365 days a year. Services include:


Chemotherapy/Targeted therapies/Biologic therapies


Transfusions/Antibiotic/Electrolyte replacement/Hydration therapies


Administration of intravesical treatments and management


Management of graft vs host disease using targeted therapies


Patient call center activities


Pain management


Diagnostic labs testing/Vascular access device management


Care associated with clinical trials/Pharmacokinetics


Assessment and management of disease and/or treatment side effects/Patient teaching


Hematologic therapy (growth factors, gammagard, etc.


Management of research/clinical trial therapies (weekends)


Management of post bone marrow transplant antifungal/antiviral therapies


Follows established City of Hope and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including?adherence to the?workplace?Code of Conduct, Compliance Plan, and organizational dress code.? Practices a high level of integrity and honesty.? Maintains confidentiality.


Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


Minimum Experience:




  • BSN (Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing) required.


  • 3?years of recent clinical RN experience in chemo administration.


  • Current California RN License.


  • Current? American Heart Association BLS

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
