We are seeking a qualified Vice President, Sales for our Los Angeles region.
Reporting to the West Region, Vice President of Cement Sales, this position will be responsible for the direct supervision and professional development of the sales team throughout the Los Angeles Region. In conjunction with senior management develop strategic sales and marketing plans for the Region. Responsibilities will also include forecasting, planning, marketing and selling assistance for cement, aggregates and recycle product lines in the market while focusing on growing existing and prospective customers to increase market share and improve profitability.

What you?ll get to do:
+ Manage, develop, train and mentor our sales team to achieve sales goals and objectives;
+ Market and sell Cement, Aggregate and Recycle products within the greater Los Angeles, CA market and ensuring that our competitive position continues to grow;
+ Work with plant operations and quality assurance teams to develop action programs required to meet and exceed customer?s needs and the industry standards;
+ Proactively manage health and safety of employees to continuously improve the Company?s health and safety performance;
+ Develop bid procedures, strategies and documents including specifications and quotes;
+ Assist management with development of strategic marketing plans to expand and enhance our bottom line results;
+ Target new accounts and maintaining existing accounts by strengthening customer relationships;
+ Review market conditions monthly and reporting on sales mix, prices and volumes;
+ Participate in business-line forecasts and budgets and preparing monthly sales forecasting and backlog report;
+ Work with customers and credit function to optimize accounts receivable;
+ Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing training, monitoring compliance, etc.
Who we are looking for:
+ Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent industry experience;
+ 5?10 years sales experience;
+ 3?5 years? experience in a management role;
+ Demonstrated competency in financial and performance management, problem solving and decision making;
+ Goal and results oriented with ability to lead initiatives;
+ Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills;
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
+ Demonstrated experience and ability to develop a sales team using technology and coaching.
