Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Maintaining and repairing of heavy off road mobile equipment for aggregate, asphalt and landfill operations. (Large wheel loaders, excavators, water trucks, haul trucks, dozers and cranes along with the mobile support equipment) Must be able to schedule and perform repairs and service in conjunction with lube man. Perform preventative maintenance according to Company EMS and Castrol procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Must communicate directly with supervisor, local dealers, and the Western Division Equipment Manager. Required to drive Company service truck to perform repairs and services to the mobile equipment at plant site.
1:00pm - 9:30pm Shift, may be subject to change, Over Time Required as needed.
High school Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of two years of Mechanical Technician trade school required. Trouble shooting skills on diesel engines, transmissions, heavy suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes and air brake certified.
Mechanical ability to use various hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as grinders, presses, cranes, and jacks. Good welding and cutting skills preferred and may be required. Must be a good communicator and have good work relation skills. Must be able to lift 50-90 lbs. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to trouble shoot and use diagnostic equipment. Must have a valid CA. Driver License with Hazmat endorsement and a clean driving record. Must have own personal hand tools up to 1?" in size.
Advanced knowledge of the mechanics of trucks and heavy-duty off road equipment, air brake systems, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical wiring and schematics. General knowledge of plant operations is required. Skilled in operating and maintaining trucks and equipment. Skilled in maintaining efficient and cost effective parts inventory levels, and reviewing invoices for accuracy. Good verbal communication and math skills are required. Ability to trouble shoot problems and resolve customer issues. Have the ability to maintain good interpersonal relations with staff, vendors, union representatives, and management personnel.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
