Program Overview:
This position is part of Southern California Edison?s (SCE) University and Campus Relations Internship Program. The Summer Internship program is a 10-12 week paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience with substantial work, while developing your skills, and building your network. The internship has an estimated start date of May/June 2019 and an estimated end date of August/September 2019.
SCE offers these programs with the belief that learning and development are important parts of building future leaders. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in intern mixers, executive speaker series, site tours, community volunteer events, intern project expo, and cross-company networking.

About Customer Services Organizational Unit:
SCE?s Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. The Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD) is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings. In CSOD, we are dedicated to safely providing services and support for over 5 million customers, including 24/7 emergency response and billing over $12 million each year. Our energetic and devoted team is committed to engaging our customers with excellence, passion, and pride.
The Project Management Team (PMT) within CSOD provides centralized project management support. The team oversees governance and execution of projects utilizing project management methodology, ensures completion of project deliverables and leads the Optimize Customer Transaction initiative. The intern will support PMT through the maintenance and enhancement the team?s tools, templates, processes, and procedures.
Typical responsibilities will include:
+ Collect data, documents, analyzes, and draws conclusions from analysis.
+ Research and Analyze anomalies in the data.
+ Create and edit complex reports, graphs, and presentations.
+ Develops, reviews drafts of, and assists or makes presentations to report out on data trends/analysis and recommendations to management.
+ Currently be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics or a related field at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2019 or later.
+ Cumulative 2.8 GPA or higher preferred.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Proficiency in SharePoint, Database Design software, Power BI preferred.
+ Ability to accurately analyze information, processes, systems, and technologies.
+ Attention to detail and the ability to build interpersonal relationships with clients, peers and management.
+ Ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
+ Location: Irwindale, CA
+ Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
+ Relocation will not be provided for this position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
